Reference for Garry Bilson

To whom it may concern.I have known Garry Bilson for over ten years in his role as the facilitator for the AFL Sports Trainer’s Courses conducted in East Gippsland.

Garry has travelled to various locations in East Gippsland over the years to deliver training for football and netball club trainers.

Whilst most courses were conducted in Bairnsdale, Garry has also travelled to Omeo to deliver a course to the Omeo community, a round trip of over eleven hours. Garry’s willingness to support the remote High Country community, by conducting the course in their town, was greatly appreciated. Many are farmers with commitments that restrict their ability to travel.

The feedback from the participants in courses conducted by Garry has been outstanding. They comment on the quality of his presentation, along with his ability to be able to deliver the program in a manner that is both concise and informative.

Garry’s presentations cover;

Safety, Injury Prevention, Injury Management, Rules and Regulations pertaining to trainers.

Communication and relationships, Record Keeping, Referrals to Healthcare Specialists, First Aid equipment, First Aid Facilities, Legal Responsibilities.

Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Heart Conditions, Stroke, Ear, Nose and Eye injuries, Teeth and Jaw, Allergic Reactions.

Ankles, Fingers, Hands, Shoulders, Elbows, etc.

Garry has also conducted Level 2 Trainer’s Courses as well as Strapping and Massage courses in East Gippsland.

These courses have allowed our trainers to enhance their skills and, as a consequence provide immense benefit to footballers and netballers in our communities by reducing injuries.

East Gippsland now boasts 100% of all Clubs having qualified trainers. This is all due to the commitment of Gary to travel to East Gippsland and deliver the courses.

I cannot recommend Garry highly enough in his role as an AFL Sports Trainer facilitator.

Yours truly
